Leading wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer has indicated in his most recent edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that WWE are pulling out the stops for the 50-man Greatest Royal Rumble show in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
This in the form of getting two of the company’s best Superstars of all time, The Undertaker and Chris Jericho, to compete in the 50-man Royal Rumble bout at the event, which takes place on the 27th of April.
Obviously, neither men have been announced for it yet though.
WWE are really pushing out the boat as they look to branch out their product into Saudi Arabia over the next 10 years with the country’s social and economic plans.
Already confirmed for the WWE Network Special is 7 Championship matches (including The Hardy Boyz vs. The Bar (c) for the RAW Tag-Team Titles, and a Fatal 4-Way Ladder match for the IC Title between Samoa Joe vs. Finn Balor vs. Seth Rollins vs.The Miz (c)), John Cena vs. Triple H and the huge 50-man Royal Rumble.
Daniel Bryan, Kane, Braun Strowman, Bray Wyatt and Big Show are all in the Rumble so far.
Jericho and Undertaker would be amazing additions. Y2J and The UnderTaker are true legends of the business and would be sure to draw eyes to the WWE product abroad.
